Summers Glow 1: The Great Pretender

Been working on this for a while. I'm going to do three, one for each of the trio involving one my favorite parts of summer
I scoped out this spot for months. It's a bit of a distance from the main part of town, which is perfect since there's less a chance of someone finding me and opening fire. Breifly I considered telling Sam and Tuck, but decided against it. Maybe not Sam but Tucker, at least, would laugh. Besides, between school, ghost fighting, and the minimal hanging out time we enjoy, having a quiet moment to myself is unheard out. The sun's finally going down. My eyes were trained on the tall grass which was sweeped with shadows in the twilight. Finally I saw what I had been looking for - a small green glow. It's soon joined by another and as the sky darkens more glows light up the grass. Soon they rise up, flying around me, their glow mixing with my own. For once I don't worry about the strains of being the ghostboy or my pathetic social life.
I'm just another firefly floating in the evening sky.
