A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS
Fenner / Dunlop called and said that I start my new job July 17th.
I quit my old job (Lear Corp).
Fenner / Dunlop called back and said "uh, you can't start July 17th. Not sure when. Maybe end of August."
Lear said they couldn't take me back till after August 27th.
Figured I'd wait it out and live off my VISA for a little while.
Fenner / Dunlop laid off 20 people, probably till January 1st.
I went back to Lear, and dropped off a resume. If they DO take me back, it will be with no seniority, and starting all over at 12 an hour.
I'm trying to get in at Delphi.
This is all temporary.
Fenner / Dunlop HAS the new equipment.
They WILL be hiring.
I did will in the interview, and on the test, so they do want me.
They're union says that I AM IN, and if they hire anyone, I am first.
It's just a matter of time...
but my visa is over $6000....
hmmmm....
ABBY'S PRINCESS ROOM

Kim is a carpet installer. The diamond, crown, and heart shaped designs you see above are all different colors of carpeting, seamed together. These pictures don't do her work justice.
One more finishing touch we are going to add is a ceiling fan with bright yellow blades (to look like sunbeams...). We already have the fan. All we have to do is paint it, and put it up.
$5.00 FOOTBALL POOL
Don't forget that I am running a football pool on ESPN.com this year. Top 5 positions get paid. Get in touch with me for more info!
ROAD TRIP
Monday, my buddy called and asked me if I would go with him to New Jersey to help him pick up a truck that he had bought. He drove us up, and we would drive both vehicles back. Lots of time in the car, but we did stop in Atlantic City for a couple hours (that was fun). When we finally got home Wednesday afternoon, I realized that I could not find my wallet. Later, I got a call the Pennsylvania State Police. An older couple found my wallet at a rest stop north of Pittsburgh, and turned it in. All the cash was there, nothing was taken. They didn't even leave their name, so I couldn't thank them. The only bad thing was that I had to drive to Franklin, Pennsylvania today to pick it up.
I was very surprised. I was beginning to feel very cynical, that there were no honest people left in the world. This trip has opened my eyes again.
Thank You Lord.
And Thank You to the kind couple who found my wallet!
