reviews + my books from this year

I like working nights! it gives me a chance to update this thing more often!

First, I give you reviews of the latest Primeval episodes, plus Black Swan, which I saw with Max and Heather last weekend.

Primeval first:
Oh em geeeeeeee! The new series is awesome! Connor and Abby are just as fantastic as last time. I was worried after spending a year in the past that Connor would lose his nerdy charm, but he hasn't. He's just gotten a bit more... serious. Abby too. But I still hope they're able to have fun.
Becker is still super sexy, and I like the relationship-type-thing they're giving him with Jess. The chocolate bar thing was adorable.
I'm not sure about Mr. Irish-I-forgot-his-name. My theory is he and the old man he keeps visiting are somehow from the future, and were sent back to prevent some sort of a catastrophe from happening. I can't wait till next week! So far, the new series gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Black Swan next:

Um... this movie was fucking weird. I understand why everyone is raving about it, and yes, Natalie Portman should totally get an Oscar. But still. It's creepy. I was so wigged out for the rest of the day when I saw it. What was real? What wasn't? Did she really have sex with Mila Kunis? Did she really stab herself in the stomach and die? WHO KNOWS! Also, whenever they showed the weird person she saw when she looked in the mirror, it looked nothing like her. So who was it? And did the crazy Winnona Ryder character actually stab herself? (That was the most disturbing scene for me. Oh God. I almost puked.)

I didn't like the movie. It's brilliant, and very well made, and deserves every award it will inevitably win, but I just didn't like it. It gave me the creeps.

And, because I'm bored, and am proud of the number of books I've read, here is a list of every single book I read in 2010, according to my goodreads account. <3 Library nerds win!)
