So i'm back from camp.
Overall i would say i was pleased with the summer. The last few weeks really tested me in many ways (physically and emotionally) but i am glad that i did work.
So the saga with my POS car continued this summer. It came to camp with me and saw lots of action on the roads to Walmart and Friendly's (the two main hangouts for staff). So after about 4 weeks it came down with a nasty noise and smell that was attributed to a stuck valve in the exhaust system. It was taken home to be fixed. The mechanic took one listen of it and this is what it needed....a new ENGINE.
This explained a lot. it explained the loss of power in the car, it explained the noise, and it explained why when i accelerated the car often rolled backwards. POS. So my parents felt that it needed the new engine so $1900 was expended to resurect this car from the near-dead. Now my dad has the wonderful idea of making me wash and wax the car (????). Stupid thing (the car, not the dad).
In other Chris news, i have moved on from the POS to my new mode of transportation. It is my Gold (Desert Sand Mica) 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It is FREAKIN' SWEET!!! 6 cylinder 3.2 ltr engine with lots of HP. this thing purrs. Other features include power everything including Moonroof, CD player, Tape deck, and other features. Really nice car.
So i leave for college at the end of next week. That's September Something (5 maybe?) and will be home until then. Call me...we can do stuff.
Uggggg. Family problems as well....may have to make an emergency trip to England.....
Tired.......
