I...I think Sam is driving this one...and not the warm, loving Sam that was on last night's ep. either.
You just know this will not end well.

Apparently, so can I...if you could see the things in my head, you'd be afraid of me.

Even with the killing, with the distractions of his old life, he still thinks of Dean.
'pieces of the person he had been, irritants under the skin' - if mere acquaintances are things to be hunted and destroyed then surely his desertion of his brother is only a temporary thing ... Dean's existence would be more than just an irritant.
I guess Sam is making demands of you - this dark and sinister individual - insisting his story to be told.
Don't let him give you nightmares.
Perhaps you need to find a nice kindly hunter-type person to exorcise his ass ... or give him what he wants so he gets bored and then leaves you alone ...
Oh .. as I am meant to be encouraging you to write, because I enjoy reading what you create, maybe I should advise you to forget the exorcism ...
Er yeah ...
Write the man's story woman!!! *lol*

In actuality, I blame this for the insomnia of the last few nights.
I wrote both this and the next piece on the train this morning. I was in tears and shaking.
Now, I'm feeling better (after fluffy SG-1 kilt!porn) and may make an attempt at the next bits at lunch. Then again...I may try for fluffy again...we'll see.

"The broken pieces of the foolhardy decorate the walls around the survivors"
Has got to be one of the funniest sentences I have ever read.
On another note, I've read the rest of it, but I wanted to comment specifically on that line, so I'm leaving the review here.
I got to the part where Dean knelt down and gave himself over to Sam, and all I could say was 'Oh dear....Oooh dear...' Which I then repeated about every other sentence as it got worse and worse and worse.
I really enjoyed this a lot, even if everyone was broken beyond recognition by the end. Thank you for your efforts in writing it. It came out very well.

I'm killing myself. Because I finished my exam, and I've been sitting here reading your stuff and catching up, and not only has your authorial talent never been so clear, but you paint bleakness so clearly, it seeps off the screen.
Beautifully dark, darling.
