Sweet Charity - Supporting The Writer's Guild Foundation
Because this deserves it's own post.
Sweet Charity is holding a special auction in support of the Writer's Guild Foundation.
This organization helps to support workers affected by the writer's strike. You know, all of those set builders and PAs and caterers and lighting techs, etc who can't work because of the strike. We support the cause (writer's getting what they should be getting from the powers that be), we should support those who suffering in the background as well.
These are people who are responsible for the shows that we fan over. Each and every one of them do something that makes it possible for our shows to air.
If you write or craft in anyway (bake, knit, jewelry, scrapbook...someone out there wants what you can do!), and you support the writer's, it would be awesome if you could contribute.
If you can't donate a good or service, please consider purchasing one. The auction opens on January 18 and will run through January 26.
Currently there are 85 hos pimping themselves out to help. More is always better!
