About Sam's magical squishy blob of goodness. Could he use it to completely heal himself but chooses only to use it as a pick me up because he's still not over the "I need to suffer" part of his life?

The healing thing is kind of elusive, to be certain.

I've posited that given enough time it could heal him completely. However, with the amount of time and the amount of damage, it's a slow process, and one he would consistently need to be addressing.

Whereas, new wounds, now that he knows it's there, can be dealt with completely.
