I am not in any of these fandoms. I've seen most of Dr. Who and none of SPN (what I know I know from tumblr) ad I've never played Bioshock my game is still in its wrapper but this fic. This fic. It's wonderful. I was hooked from the first scene and had to read it all in one go because seriously, it's compelling, and done in such a way that someone with such transient knowledge of the canon sources can follow along; I feel like I know who these characters are. I feel like I understand them, which is something I think is rare in fanfiction where the underlying assumption is that the reader already knows about all the crucial canon facts. The pov shifts were well done, especially how they reflected how that character thought/understood the world.

I particularly loved the imagery in this. At times, disturbing (on purpose, of course. I think Bioshock might be too much for me tbh) but still without being overkill, and quite lovely at other parts.

I recced this fiction before I was even halfway through it. Hell, I wanted to rec it the first five paragraphs in. Not only is this brilliant, it's utter gorgeousness is seamless, there is narry a crack for reality to bleed through and this just screams perfection from every single word. You merged these worlds with such flawless grace, I don't think you could lay a hair inbetween them. This is a fiction I will be reading again and again. and it is definitely one that I will pimp from the rooftops if I have to!! Gorgeous. Flawless. Perfect.
