this. fucking Coraline is my favorite Neil Gaiman novel ever, and this is fucking perfection. I have no words for how wondrous this is. You are a goddess, m'dear <3<3

I actually hadn't read the novel before I started working on this. I watched the movie about a year ago, fell in love with it, and then got caught up in the idea of this. And when I realized I'd actually be writing it, I made Allie lend me her copy and plowed through it in an hour or so. It's so amazing, even though I was a little disappointed that the other Wybie (or Wybie himself) weren't in the novel.

But yes, I'm glad you liked it! I had so much fun writing it.

I was quite confused by the introduction of Wybie in the film. I really didn't know what to do with him. I was fairly furious for a while, and then I calmed down a watched it again (and again and again) and he grew on me <3 Though I do still prefer the Wybie-less novel XD Coraline is just so much more isolated and it seems much more frightening when Wybie isn't there to help her in the Other World.

But then the movie and the animation and the colours and the way that they depict the three wonders and huredfhd;aode it's so wonderful <3<3<3

Not to mention that without Wybie, this glorious little fic wouldn't have happened. So, yes.
