[Terra is standing with her back to the dreamberry, arms hugging herself as she paces and mutters. There is a faint howling noise in the background easily identified as wind. Y-yeah she never got the wall fixed - she was hoping the weather would let up some. There was no going out now, so she would make do to block the wind. By grabbing and pushing ( Read more... )

[The video feed shows that Nozomu's hair is a mess from the strong wind and clumps of snow stuck to it. His glasses are mostly frosted. He is also wearing a heavy hoodless cloak over a thick traditional patterned kimono.]

It looks like the winter shogun is merciless this year, doesn't it?

[ Terra blinks - had he been out in this weather? ]

Winter Shogun? [ She was so unfamiliar with that term. Not surprising since she wasn't from the same world, still. ] Were you just outside? [ Incredulous. ]

It's a common personification of the winter cold. The colder it is, the more victorious the Winter Shogun is. I was outside, but... [eyes shift to look away] it looks like you really can't do anything out there.

I just remembered a time back with my father. It's been a dream lately.

No, I dreamt about a time when my father let me hold his wallet for a bit and forgot about it. ...I returned it to him without much thought.

But every time I recall that time, I keep regretting not buying anything while I had the chance! I have to atone for thinking like this!

[It makes sense to him, really]

But.... wouldn't that have been stealing? I.... um, I'm sure atoning for that doesn't have to be a drastic as killing yourself!

[ Terra doesn't follow despair!logic ;o;! /sob XD ]

But that's not everything I dreamt about last night.

Getting tricked to join that club in high school and being framed for kidnapping!
Being a stray teacher with no place in society and getting exiled to the North Pole!

and at the end of the dream... I never seem to recall it, but I remember seeing something traumatizing enough to make me faint at the sight of it. It feels like it's something that happened to me before, though.

Not only did that dream show what a miserable human being I am, but it gave every reason to lose my will to live.

... ... .... [ Oh god, Terra has no idea how to deal with this poor fellow. ] Couldn't you ...um.. atone for these things without killing yourself...? Although I- I really don't think you've done anything that you should atone for from those examples...

O-oi! Y-you're not a miserable human being! There are a lot of people that are much worse -- uh -- I mean... [ Oh god, Terra is no psychologist. ] Please don't be in despair?

I always have to do my best to make up for everything! And suicide is the best form of atonement!

If people could choose not to be in despair, everyone would be happy. I'm just one of those unlucky enough to feel it. ...But maybe talking about it made me feel better about it.

[ooc: oops, probably should have mentioned that you could have replied at any of the parts if your character was the type to interrupt. Was that too pushy?]
