I really don't want to get my case note back as I fear failure on a massive scale.  It's not that I'm worried too much about what I think, but I dread what my mother will say.  Even a pass annoys me.  I want first class honours.  It's as if UTS has heard this and said, "Right, yes, let's completely destroy her in the process!"

I really feel like tearing my hair out over the assessments and the oncoming onslaught of exams.  I was basically told by my Editing and Publishing partner that his English wasn't that good and if I could do all the editing for all six stories and so forth.  So far I've done most of the layout work too.  And poor Karen.  Poor, poor Karen, who I keep asking to help me work the InDesign stuff because I've completely forgotten about it.

Oh well, it's not all bad.  Deanne told me last week to go for the supervisor position with a nudge and a wink.  I thought this was kind of redundant, as I'm already getting supervisor shifts on Saturday nights, but decided it's worth the 30c pay rise.  I can't wait for Pirates, and although it's going to ruin my sleeping patterns (the last session comes out at 12:45am in the morning!!) I'm actually looking forward to all the staff on and the fun we have at dressing up and saying "Arrrr!" at the customers (who generally blink back at us, utterly bewildered).

To Jen and Ariane - I forgot to ask you.  How was the legendary Silverchair?

In other news: Last week I began rereading Order of the Phoenix.  People often complain that Ginny's personality was transplanted on in this book.  I'm about ten chapters into it, and after rereading the previous four books beforehand I honestly cannot fathom where this idea came from.  This girl is gutsy.  She gave Harry a singing get well card in third year!  Please, at the age of fifteen I wasn't prepared to go to that sort of length for my crush.  And, sure, the Valentine's Day card was anonymous, but I think it was pretty darn obvious who sent it.  Rereading these books have led to a renewed love for Ginny.

it's life jim but not as we know it, random fandom, uni
