On Easter, I drove up to Hazleton to visit with the stepfamily and my brother and sister.

Walked around Wilkes-Barre for a while, and took some shots of a coal town that's been on life support for a long time now but still refuses to just up and die. Some changes since the last time I was there include a big new movie theater right downtown, a couple of fun-looking bars right next to campus, some silly looking nightclub where the list of banned clothing basically says "If you're black, don't come in," and a big new block (literally, an entire block) of new retail space most of which is completely unoccupied. Shame, too, because they did a nice job on the buildings themselves, they look like they were built back in the town's heyday instead of 4 months ago. But, anyway:
