Last night I watched both the new episode of Lost and a leaked copy of the series finale of The Wire. I was generally underwhelmed with both, though they had their moments. I know I usually post about Lost, but I don't think anything so monumental happened that I really have much to talk about.
Juliet's back story is vaguely interesting to me, but not really. I actually really like her and Jack as a couple, but that's pretty much ruined by knowing that in the future he's still all dopey over Kate. And we now know that Widmore is behind the boat...but we DON'T really know that, because BEN is the source and he's obviously a big ol' liar. (And a big ol' stalker, and a big ol' dork -- how goofy was he with the ham and the sheets and everything? Half super-villain, half goober.) I grow tired with the "who's Ben's man on the boat" tease, because everybody has come to the same conclusion -- it's Michael. If it turns out not to be Michael, then it will have been worth it, because they tricked us. Otherwise, dragging it out over this many episodes is annoying.
Basically, an episode without Desmond and Sayid, and with only 30 seconds of Sawyer, is gonna bore the crap out of me. Jeremy Davies can only do so much to keep me engaged. (I continue to love him, though.)
