Jazzy

We have just returned from our canal holiday early.
Poor Jazzy who was on borrowed time slipped off the gang plank on the boat on Tues evening late and although Andrew eventually pulled her out she was very poorly, suffered a stroke in the night (we sat up with her) and early Wed morning sailed to the nearest road got a taxi to base Andrew got the car and came back for us, Emma meanwhile had organised a vets appt in the nearest town, the prognosis was not good, Andrew thought she would be better being treated at home, so I drove back to Newcastle to our vet leaving Andrew to sail the boat back to base. After xrays and blood tests it was clear poor Jazzy had swallowed a lot of water, had a stroke, plus her heart condition and to top it all had a tumour on her liver with secondaries in the chest, so there was only one solution.
I picked Andrew up from base early Friday morning and we are back here trying to pick up the pieces, fortunately both girls have been here for the weekend, Emma and Grant with washing as they have no running water due to the floods, so they have bathed and showered.
