Primary Colours
k What the Hell is with this?
Back in Grade 8 Art our teacher clearly told us that the primary colours were
-yellow
-red
-blue
This gets all traced back to an argument about the primary colours that Krystle perfect_krystle and I were having here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/phallelujah/58271.html?thread=1034655#t1034655
Apparently she is taking a course that says otherwise and cited the above image as a demonstration for what the primary colours "really are."
This strikes me as pure bull but perfaps it has to do with different mediums of adding colour. Maybe this diagram works for only pure light rather than oil paints. Maybe it's pure bull.
What's the deal oh learned folks? Anyone know of any communities that could get to the bottom of this?
