My humanities class is all about this one question. What is Art?
I say that the question is imposible to answer. The reason is that art is not just any one thing. It is a different thing to different people and the thing is always changing. For art is not something tangable, it's not an object that can be possest. Art is an experiance that is caused by looking at a certain thing. Art is a very personal and individual experiance and one feels the need to posses or admire the object that caused that reaction in you that you never thought possible. So you can't define art because it is never just one thing and can never be represented in one form.
