things and stuff

Got up pre-7am. Raining, wind, bleh. It's supposed to be summer officially now. Then about 8.30 mum came and went "oh there's a dog in the back yard" and I was like D: and went to chase it away thinking it would be the little fluffy white one from just down the street. It was not. That is, not little, not fluffy, not white, and not one (and not from down the street). Two big black and tan things, one of which was digging at the lawn by Holly's fence. Managed to get them away from there and got the phone number off one of their tags to call the owner, then they ran off somewhere. I assume he found them in the end coz he never turned up here, but I had to fill in the started hole, which was a bit dumb to dig anyway coz that dog was never going to dig a big enough hole to get under the fence. It probably weighed as much as me. Holly was not very perturbed by the whole thing luckily - he was just sitting upstairs in his hutch looking at the dogs like "This is MY house. What do you want?" He did accept lots of pettings though and licked me back, which was nice of him because I was still damp an hour and a half later after wandering down the street trying to see where the dogs had gone.

Started a vid - I have like 15 seconds done or something stupid like that. Maybe even 20.

Started a fic - it's going to be long. :/ It is the genderswitch one that actually deals with how society deals with people based on appearance and issues of body dysmorphia (think that's the word I want).

Then I got mail! Actually one of them I haven't opened yet and probably should because it's from the District Health Board and is probably about the psych unit or the anxiety unit wait list or something. But the other one was more exciting - Hera ran a giveaway on twitter for the first two people to get the right answer to a trivia question about Icelandic folklore and it happened to be me and my sister so today I got her Live At Al's album and an instant scratchie. I did not win any money. But I have an autographed cd! (Normally I dislike live albums, but I've basically ONLY heard Hera live, and it's smaller gigs rather than huge rock concerts where the audience drowns out the sound quality of the actual song, which makes it so much better.)

One of the songs I want to do a Gwen/Rhys vid to. It's sort of sad. (smallcaps - The Day Before. Rhys POV, obvs.)

Also, there are lots of dickheads on the internet. Some of them hang at fandomsecrets. They irk me.

motherfucking twitter, motherfucking fandom, motherfucking drama, motherfucking writer's cramp, motherfucking bunnies, motherfucking vidding
