GLAAD has put out a report on bisexual invisibility (.pdf file) which I haven't finished reading yet but actually has some information that really surprised me. Apparently health outcomes for bisexuals are, or can be, quite a bit worse than for gays/lesbians and they have a higher suicide rate. There are very few studies that separate out bisexuals or MSMW/WSMW (men/women who have sex with men and women) from gays/lesbians/MSM/WSW so the data usually gets conflated.
(Note as a disclaimer that this is not a claim that bisexuals have it worse - they just have it different. Health outcomes and suicide rates are only a small area of the overall picture anyway.)
Also I'm told my vet has been pretty packed since they reopened. This is the first time I've not gotten a same or next day appointment. That said, Holly's booked for a check up first thing Monday morning, and this time there hopefully won't be a major natural disaster the day before because I don't want to put it off for too much longer.
