It's because I'm so graceful

Today at work I managed to get a concussion...

I was in the kitchen (which is in the basement) getting fillings for our sugar-free turnovers and I had just started approaching the stairs when my feet went out from underneath me and I landed on my head. I was immediately surrounded by the kitchen staff (none of whom speak English). They had me sit up right away and started wiping away the blueberry filling that spilled all over me so as to make sure I wasn't bleeding. They called for my boss, handed me a glass of water and a bag of ice. Later on, when I was on the stairs, one of them came to check and see how I was doing.

They're pretty awesome.

One of the floor managers, Tiffany, made it downstairs before my boss Chris. She helped me to the stairs so I could sit down there. She was totally calm and checked to make sure my vision was ok. She also got me a new shirt.

Louis, the baker, was also worried. He got angry at the floor for being slippery, the kitchen staff for letting the floor be slippery, and the stock boys for not getting things for the bakery girls when we need them. Maybe he should go for some anger management...

Chris, one of my bosses (he's related to the store owners), came downstairs and tried to stay calm. It was pretty apparent that he was freaked out. His attempts to keep me calm were really more him trying to keep himself calm. He's young and usually one of the others with more experience are there as well... so I'm pretty sure this was his first emergency. He suggested that I call my parents... which for some reason I hadn't thought of until then.

My parents showed up and we were off to the hospital... which sucked balls. You know, I think I hate hospitals.
