(no subject)
it was a hellish weekend at work. we did over 50,000 dollars worth of food sales. we ran out of food everynight. on saturday we went through 4 pans of quesadillas, 4 pans of fish and chips, and 4 trays of chicken wings, we ran out of mozzerella for the moz salad, and almost ran out of salad greens (picture a white bucket 4' tall, 2' across filled with salad greens). ya. a shit ton of food. *deep breaths*. i can't wait till summer when everyday is going to be like this.
anyway. the family update. my grandpa died on tuesday at 8:25 p.m. my dad, grandma, cousins amy, and steve, aunt kate, and i were in the room when he went. he was on massive amounts of morphine (don't know how much but the drip was up to level 12). he sounded like he was going to cough then drowned on the fluids in his lungs. the rest of the family showed up within 15 minutes. we all said goodbye. then went home and proceeded to drink heavily. on wednesday we had the service at 2:00 p.m. at the church that cousin amy was baptized at. i saw something there that i have never seen and i wont see again for a long time. i saw my dad in tears, unable to speak. in a family that was always taught to hold everything inside, that was a welcome relief to see. then i left right after to head back to oregon at 5:00p.m. because i had to work in the morning. that's about it. i'm still coping as is everyone else in the family. i only wish that next time i see my cousins and aunts it will be under much better circumstances
