It's another Lost post. I've got meta here for last week's episode and tonight's episode. One was awesome and the other was pretty cool. Read more to find out which one is which!
Episode 6.06 - Sundown
BAAWWW. Uncle Sayiiid.
You can always depend on Sayid, no matter who he's possessed by, to bring some epic fistfights.
I love how Miles is the only one not making trouble in the Temple. Playing cards like a chill motherfucker.
Now that it's been revealed that Esau!Locke is the smoke monster, it seems like his only means of entering a scene is by shaking up the leaves and whispering in the distance.
I think skeezy, egg-cooking Keamy wearing a brightly colored suit is a hell of a lot creepier than army man, "I shoot your daughter in the head" Keamy. I was feeling very conflicted. I didn't want Sayid to kill him, since he's got so much more to do in life. But he was better off dead because it's not that easy.
So far, I pretty much dislike this season. But that's what I say about every season of Lost until I rewatch it on the DVDs. Then I freaking love it. I remember thinking that season three was pretty bad. Now it's one of my favorite seasons. My favorite season is season four. Yeah, I didn't like it so much when it was airing.
Episode 6.07 - Dr. Linus
No one can ever take you serious if you keep correcting people that it's Dr. Linus. Dr. Evil and Dr. Horrible come to mind when you do. Ben happens to have a Ph.D in horribleness.
It is just so weird seeing Richard all... frazzled. It makes me feel so sad. And it also makes me ship Jacob/Richard like... burning. "Jacob touched me. And when Jacob touches you, it's considered special." O RLY?
Ben. Oh, Ben. No matter what universe you're in, I will love you as a character forever. God, and Michael Emerson. You! I am going to go and buy one of your audiobooks! And I'm going to watch your acceptance speech for your Emmy win. And then I'm going to watch The Shape of Things to Come for the 20th time.
And to see Alex again! So happy. I can't help but wonder if Rousseau killed her father in this reality as well. Something tells me that it is so. Well, Alex, think of of it this way: You will get plenty of scholarship opportunities.
Fucking Jack. He's gotten crazier in such a short period of time. Breaking mirrors and shit. Who does that?
OH FFFFUCK WIDMORE IS IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE. FUKKEN RUN, JOO GUISE.
But seriously now: I really enjoyed this episode. The episodes of the season so far haven't really hooked me. The Final Season has had its moments, here and there. But it hasn't been enough. Well, it hasn't been enough until now. If they keep it up like this for the rest of the season, then... I just might possibly love this show more than I already do. The parts of the season that I've liked the most are the more character-driven scenes. Remember when Lost was character-driven? Yeah. Well, this episode was just like what Lost used to be. And it was damn good. Nearly made me cry.
I am so glad that the alternate universe scenes with Ben have actually had an impact on what we think of him now. About that whole negotiation, I'd like to think of it as a way of saying that Ben has a chance at redeeming himself. He isn't completely heartless.
I don't know why, but I really miss Juliet. The previous episode didn't make me think of her. But this one did. She's really dead? A part of me believes that they'll show alternate universe Juliet. But those V commercials tell me otherwise.

And, unrelated, but... Why are there diaper ads taking up space on my screen? What is this, LJ? What are you even doing?
