2.43pm. I cannot help but think: two more days and the examination period would be officially over.
Biology was the most unexpected thing that happened to me. No calculation questions, mainly regurgitation-thinking questions that weren't too hard and hopeful spirits for at least an A. Basically, I thought it wasn't Ms Tang's standards. I would be letting myself down if I don't score well this time.
I'm metres (or months) to fulfilling my dreams, and now is not the time to pause and ponder over the scenery I've missed. For glory, then. The brutal, unforgiving sprint towards success and recognition. These days all I want to do is to impress myself.
I'm halfway through the home-made Chemistry notes. It's strange how the textbook's width seems to be augmented by a few inches when one fully gets down to memorising. Nevertheless I am trying to keep my spirits buoyant.
7.49pm. I start from page 2, and trail-blaze through the hefty book. Before I know it, I'm on the last page. I close the cover and recommence rote-memorisation from page 2.
It's like a cursed carousel.
