cat!!
I found a cat last night!! The people I met up with were super nice. They have (literally) 20 cats at their house that are theirs, a couple strays they feed, and then the woman trains feral kittens until they are ready to be adopted at the shelter. She owns a furniture store and her entire back room is basically full of cages with cats! It's sort of awesome.
So the cat I found! She's a juvenile, about 4-5 months old, they're not sure because they found her in an alley. She's still tiny! I mean, every cat is tiny compared to Max, but still. She's very sweet and affectionate, but also feisty and playful. She completely dominates the boy cat she shares a cage with, so I know she'll be able to handle herself with Max.
It'll be a few weeks for I get to take her. She's ready to be spayed, so the woman is going to get her on the wait list at the shelter she uses, because they'll only charge her $40, whereas normally it's about $250. Right now her name is Callie, and I haven't decided if I want to keep it or call her something else.
In other news, I'm excited about the debate tonight! I had some sad news on a personal front, a friend not doing very well, so I need things to look forward to.
