Oh, me too! I saw the kiss and went headlong into Star Wars RPS despite knowing NOTHING about it. Of course, then I discovered the crazy, and jumped right back out again, but it was fun while it lasted.

I only ever *wrote* Star Wars RPS. Well, I read some of it. But I didn't get into the actual fandom at all. All the people I knew were people I'd known from Harry Potter. Was it totally insane??

Were you ever in LotR or LotRiPS fandoms? Firstly, the former was just *weird* - some of the fic I saw was just... mentally traumatizing. I think the fans were just very... forceful about how things should've been done, so there was lots of fandom wank.
