Remix: Friend or Foe?

Okay, but here's the thing. I know we talked about JC, but seriously, how could anyone read your story and not know it was crack and think, hmm, I need to complain to that author about her JC characterization?

I'm just saying.

I know, and yet! I think the complaints I got were more along the lines of, that they would've preferred for it to not be so cracky, and for JC to be more... normal, I guess. Which is pretty much just a matter of preference and not something I could really help, so I'm trying not to take it too hard.

Awww thank you!! I struggled with it and wasn't all that happy with how it turned out, but It is what it is, so I'm glad some of you liked it.

Well, I thought it was a fabulous remix, it made me laugh with joy. Besides, the point of a remix is to do something that is different - isn't it?

Yeah, I mean... I got varying responses to it, and I sort of knew I would. But as JC would say... at the end of the day, you just put your stuff out there and hope people like it. Or you call people 'Shitty' and pretend people will know you mean it in a "good" way.

Anyway, *pat* you did a great job. I was so pleased and cracking up so much. XD I loved it so much. :) I wasn't offended at all, in fact, I was happy I inspired a great crackfic. :D

I agree with the remixes. I'm slowly working my way through the list and trying to do so many other projects. But I try to leave feedback every time I read a fic. :D

The complaints were more... concrit about my characterization, which I really don't mind and I *knew* would happen anyway because the JC I wrote was so over-the-top fanon crack that I wouldn't be able to avoid having some people dislike it. And that's okay, that's their preference and it's totally cool. And like I said, I knew I'd get people who said that. There are always a few people who either don't GET the crack, or just don't like crack, and then, you know, at least they read it and tried to leave me some constructive feedback, even if they didn't like it, per se :P

Oh, even if it was characterization, it was meant to be silly. You can't quite pin a solid characterization down on crack, y'know? :-P

But seriously, I don't think you realize how many brownie points you get for writing me that remix. XD
