So, okay, I'm kind of ready for Pete Wentz's fifteen minutes hours days of fame to be over, but FOB have been musically growing on me recently. I just wish I knew what they were saying. And I wish Pete would stop taking his pants off. And doing that stupid sneer thing that does not make him look at all fierce.

I like Pete better when it seems like he's not supposed to be laughing but he just can't help it. And I like the twirly guitarist, randomly. I bet he doesn't get enough love, poor guy.

I also think that if Panic! didn't annoy me so much, FoB wouldn't seem awesome in comparison :P

I get that, I guess. But Pete seems to be the only face of the group, and as faces go, he's a pretty annoying one.

Panic!... Oh, Panic! Frankly, I can't stand their music, because it doesn't seem to believe in, say, actual phrases that END rather than going on for four minutes open-ended-like. I mean, the one that won them an award? Pisses me off SO MUCH.

I could go on for a while about how much I hate Panic! But I think it's mostly because they are too young and not talented enough, so they say a bunch of crap that pisses me off. Like, that they don't want people liking them just because they're pretty. Fuck that, dude. They're not going to like Panic because of the MUSIC. I also just don't like the singer's voice, and their songs all sound exactly the same. BLAH.

Oh man. Listening tonight will probably make me want to. I need to know more about Pete for that to happen though. Pete would be all, "I take my pants off for the internets!" and JC would be all, "Wow, I won't even take my shirt off, but I will pretty much masturbate on stage."

True facts: the reason those pictures got leaked is because he was trying foold around with a another guy's girlfriend. They cybered. When her boyfriend found out, the pictures got leaked. The story is a lot more complicated and gay than this brief description.

JC canonically wrote a SONG about cybering. I'm just. Saying.

I was trying to go about this in some sort of linear way, but that's basically impossible, I've found. For proper introduction's sake, here is a Fall Out Boy primer.

Now. Pete Wentz has said more than once that he is "gay above the waist." Probably this means he likes to kiss boys, but come on, we hardly believe it's just above the waist.

I may be a little biased, sure, but it's almost canon that the love of Pete's life is Patrick Stump (the singer). Here, have a small taste! Also, two of my favorite bits of PeteandPatrick footage on the internets right now -- talking about how the work together and Patrick cakes Pete. His friendship with Patrick and the other boys in Fall Out Boy are probably his least dysfunctional.

Here's a quote from an AP article where Pete Wentz mentioned the gay about the waist thing (not for the first time, and some interesting things about Ryan Ross:

One of the bigger things that made people wake up and notice that Pete Wentz was a big 'mo was the 2005 Warped Tour or, as some call it, The Summer of Like. My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy were both on this tour and somewhere during that, Pete Wentz and Mikey Way (MCR bassist) started getting cozy. From an (unfortunately f-locked) awesome primer on those two: It was at a show in Orlando, Florida at the House of Blues for a Fueled By Ramen show that Mikey was first spotted watching out for Fall Out Boy. This was April 16th of 2005 and the biggest thing about it was that Mikey was wearing Pete's white denim jacket.

Questions about his friendship with Mikey started coming up on the FOB site Q&As, they hung out all the time but didn't like to be photographed together, and they formed a "gang" of two called Sweet Little Dudes. Also from the primer:

Oh man. So at first I was like, it's almost not as fun if they're actually gay. I mean, writing about Lance isn't nearly as fun now, because there's no conjecture. But since I'm pretty sure Mikey Way is the guy from MCR that I think is super hot (I love MCR, by the way, even if I don't show it) that's just like. Yes. Awesome. Tell me there's fic. There HAS to be fic.

*whoa, butting in* By far my favourite Pete/Mikey fic is ' Summer Into Dust'. It takes the canon (watching the sun set, waterpark, sharing clothes) and twists it into something gloriously angsty and sweet. (Everything Emily wrote is gold, btw. If you're looking for good MCR fic, check her writing journal.)

Hell, I'm not above self-pimping. I've written three or four Pete/Mikey-ish fics.
