This Is How it Always Starts
I just got through installing Office on my computer. I feel so...dirty.
I'm not actually a free-form Microsoft hater, it's just that I've been a Mac user since '85 and my personal accommodation with the Evil Empire has always been the strict segregation of Microsoft at work, and Macintosh at home. I happen to think that Excel may just be the coolest program ever written -- I just don't want to have to fiddle with such things on my own time.
Except, of course, that I do, especially since at the moment there is no 'work' for me. So now I've got it on my home computer, where it can frustrate me because most of my keyboard shortcuts won't function in the Mac version. Sigh. I also need to completely rearrange the toolbars, but I always do that when I'm at a new workstation.
But I'm not even opening Word. I mean, I have to keep some shred of dignity.
