I just thought I'd share this with everyone. Last week, we had an artist come into class and tell us about his background and what he does now. Thomas Thorspecken was an animator for Disney for roughly a decade until things here in Orlando came to a halt. Since then, he has not only been teaching 2D animation and sharing his talent with students, he has also taken to drawing and painting a piece of his life every day. His sketchbooks are really beautiful and full of life. I think we were all really lucky to get to see, and in a way, experience his everyday life through his work.
Check out his blog here! If you scroll down, you can see where he drew my class. And no, I'm not in it ;D If I were I'd be on the far right side/ corner. The students he did draw however, are very talented and sweet individuals [who am I kidding? They all are, rofl.]
Hoping to update with some work of my own here in a bit. Stay tuned. :]
