Usually when someone else is suffering Gai's wrath, it isn't me and so I take a moment to think about how thankful I am. True, but you could use some more. By the end of the semester, you'll have enough character to survive all known natural disasters.

Ah, it would be nice if it was that simple. No matter what I do to avoid it, some of it always manages to find me. It's a team effort really. If we distribute his wrath evenly amongst ourselves, we just might make it without any permanent damage. It should since you've survived it so far. ^__\

...I don't know, Gai-sensei has a mass amount of attention to spread around. -still hopes it's enough, though- .__.; Yeah, but last year I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I think it might just be worse when you know what's in store. Blissful ignorance and all that.
