Went to Sunday School in the morning, came home and went to Kailua swimming and had a swell time. Went to Mr. Best's musicale at the Army & Navy YMCA
(Gaylord's writing:) Played water ball in the surf with Japanese boys at Kailua. Got sunburned. Came home via Koko Head and could see Molokai, Lanai, and Maui. Mount Haleakala stood out clearly. Brought home delicious watermelon from Kailua. They have been in the market all winter.
