Star Trek Into Darkness: Another Theatrical Poster

Apr 14, 2013 17:35

I haven't posted the last two posters that came out, though I'm sure everyone's seen them: one of Harrison standing alone in front of a destroyed city and the one of Harrison, Kirk, Spock and Uhura.

I'm posting this one because it smacks you in the face more:

I can fondly remember when the first teaser trailer came out and we saw a ship crash-landing. We were all adamant that it may not be the Enterprise, as we couldn't see its serial number on the hull. So, could be any ship, right? Not to mention the brief shot of a starship crashing into a bay is - without a doubt - the wrong shape to be the Enterprise.
However, we know for a fact that the Enterprise does indeed get damaged enough to be spiralling toward a crash-landing (this time, we did see a serial number). However, what we still don't know is if the ship that was crashing into the city in the trailers (be it London or San Francisco, it's hard to tell) is the Enterprise. For my part, I find it interesting to contemplate the landscape that the ship is heading towards in the poster... Is that cloud cover? Or is it ice?

Food for thought!
