Over the next month or so, the major television networks will bring back many of the favourite prime time shows viewers have waited for since the spring finales.
While shows like NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Dancing with the Stars and The Office return to air early in the fall, viewers will have to wait longer for some shows, like Lost and Chuck, which are not scheduled to return until early 2010.
The following is a sampling of season premiere dates for shows returning to prime time television this fall:

NCIS
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 9 p.m.
Cast includes Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo.
Naval Criminal Intelligence Unit is a crime drama that draws huge ratings, yet I don't know of a single person who watches it. It's one of those shows, like Walker Texas Ranger that will be on the air forever, without drawing the critical acclaim of higher-profile shows. It's just meat and potatoes television and people like it.
