IF you don't want to spoilt about 5.16 go no farther....
Okay - that was probably the single most painful, drawn out, neverending episode of SGA I have ever had the misfortunate to watch! - I do NOT ever plan to watch it again - except for the very beginning when Sheppard and Ronon were discussing camping and surfing and Sheppard looked distinctly put-out that Rodney was with HER! - The rest should be forgotten - buried and never spoken of again - better yet use a rift manipulator and make it so it never happened, never existed, was never even a gawdamned twinkle in Gero's eye!
I went in with sub-basement level expectations for this episode and boy did it fall short of even reaching that abysmally low expectation!
The special effects even sucked! The tornadoes, wind effects and the freeze-lightning were among the poorest quality special effects that SGA has ever put on screen!
...So not buying the supposed 'science behind the plot' and that whole powerpoint presentation that Tunney gave - yes I know it was supposed to be 'horrible' - but they could have made it LESS painful for the viewing audience to sit through - sheesh....
As far as Keller - apparently all those years of being exposed to radiation, high adrenaline levels, unknown species including bacteria and viruses, gatetravel both in galaxy and between galaxy, etc. have melted McKay's brain and turned it to complete moronic chase the pretty girl MUSH!
Keller wants Rodney to behave. She wants him to change into the 'nice' person she thinks he should be.She wants him to be a little GOOD boy that she can mold into the man she wants and NO DOUBT believes that she deserves. Sheppard cares for Rodney as he is - warts and all. He wants Rodney to be the best he can be - NOT someone else.
She patted Rodney on the goddamned head and he rolled over and begged for more! *retch*
