if you do not wish to be SPOILED then do not go behind the CUT!

so what are people's reactions to Friday's ep?

I have to say I'm glad to see Carson back - I didn't like that they killed him off in season 3 in almost a matter of fact way (really makes you wonder about the mentality of TPTB)... it does pose an interesting quandary - that this isn't the 'real' Beckett - that it's a clone but one that has Carson's memories and personality... and then for the expedition to 'lose' him yet again as he's placed in stasis to await a 'cure'.... it really would shake up the crew....

I really love the contrasts and similarities of characters in the cast - that Sheppard for all his laidback, laconic style - is about as cuddly as a hedgehog and that Ronon (as mentioned by others) the guy responsible for the need for adult diapers can hug with the best of them - and that Rodney still covers his fear, his emotions with chatter... all good stuff - very good stuff...

that being said I have to say the part I really HATED with this ep? Teyla - I get the whole she's pregnant with possibly the last of her people, I get her drive to find them and to find the father of her unborn son - I get that -- what I don't get - what I was ready to shove her down a flight of stairs or over a balcony was given the chance by Carson's timely appearance to get the hell out of Dodge and out of Michael's clutches - she goes all "I-have-to-save-the-father-of-my-unborn-child" - EXCUSE ME?! but WTF?! I was ready to throw heavy objects at the screen shouting "You stupid B!tch! YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY COMES FIRST!!" before her own safety, before the rescue of her lover and father of her child, before the rescue of her people - her child - the child that Michael is all but rubbing his hands in anticipatory glee at the thought of having this child in his clutches - under his control, influence and 'changed' by his cocktails of drugs, etc.

sorry but I've way less than impressed with the way they've been writing Teyla during this season - I've gone from liking the character to truly despising her... Sheppard had the right idea - she's grounded while pregnant and frankly they should've put her somewhere where she would not have been tempted to put herself and her child into danger -- what got me was even when Sheppard was making an effort to be understanding of her condition and situation she was all but throwing things back in his face over it... sigh -- did I mention that I really detested Teyla in the latest ep?

that being said I was really surprised to see Halling and the remaining Athosians - I'd kind of expected to never see them again - and it is kind of interesting that Halling without hair makes it all that much easier to 'see' Christopher in 'Todd' :D - did people catch the comments about the ep? seems that if you watch when Teyla is reunited with her people there are two boys seen running around and those two kids are Joe Flanigan's boys... just an interesting FYI

so what are other people's reactions?
