It's summer time, lets read

May 31, 2012 21:24

I've been doing a lot of reading. Last month when I posted I was 4 books behind on my reading challenge over at Goodreads, now I am 16 books ahead. So once again I am going to take a short break to get caught up on fan fiction.

It might be a couple weeks away still but it is summer time here in Las Vegas. The temp today is suppose to get up to 102 and tomorrow to 106. This does not bode well for the rest of the summer. I see highs in our future of 118. It's going to be brutal. Everyone should stay inside and read. :)

I can't believe that I was able to read as much as I did this last month. I was able to read a lot of books from my reading list from last month and quite a few that were not on the list as well. Lol...I love Goodreads, everyone posts what they are reading and what they want to read. It is a great archive, just not very nice to my wallet.

This list is my wish list, and I use it as such. I enjoy sharing my love of books with everyone. Please check out the publishers I have listed here and look around. There are some really fantastic authors out there. I can't list all my favorites, so go explore, have fun and enjoy. And please if you find some thing that you like and download it, Don't file share. Point your friends in the direction of where you bought the book from. Lets support our authors by buying their books out right.

I must say that my favorite book that I read had to be Who We Are by TJ Klune It was funny, It made me cry, it made me angry and it made me burst out laughing till tears were running down my face. It is the sequel to Bear, Otter and the Kid I would highly recommend both of them.

Another series that I am really enjoying is the Sanctuary Series by RJ Scott. I was able to read books 3 and 4 in the seriesFace Value and Still Waters The next book will be coming out June 23rd. Full Circle

Laurel Heights by Lisa Worrall was another book that I really enjoyed. This is the second book that I have read of hers that I really liked. She will be going on my favorite authors list for sure.

Sue Brown's Sequel to Morning Report came out at the beginning of May Complete Faith I've enjoyed every one of her books that I've read so far.

One other series that I read was by Scarlet Blackwell was the Clearwater Creek Cronicles. Into the Light, Smashed into Pieces, Fade to Black and Finding Eden. These books were not for the faint of heart. There were times when I had to put them down and walk away for a while before picking them up again. There are warnings on the publisher site.

Some other books that I read were

Lonely by Scarlet Blackwell
Rock and a Hard Place by Jane Davitt and Alexa Snow. Cute story I really liked this one.
Redemption by Fire by Andrew Grey
Light me Up by James Buchanan, eroticjames. One of my first M/M authors and one of my first friends here on LJ. I have enjoyed every book that I have read by this author. She has never disappointed me.

In From the Cold by Mercy Celeste. This book threw me for a loop. I was just reading along, and then all of a sudden it was WTF just happened? This is another book that is not for the faint of heart. And as far as I know it can only be purchased over at Amazon. It is part of a series, and the next book will be out sometime this summer I think.

It had 7 books in it Here Lol...That was before I knew anything about html and how to link anything. I guess you can say we've come a long way.
