It was nice seeing old friends during our trip. The great thing about Tech was that I was able to meet so many people that I liked and cared about. I've missed everyone over the last year, but it was when I was actually in town but didn't have time for much other than grad school and family. I fondly remember cooking dinners with the eternally grumpy exvalis, that last RPG campaign with skitzycat and company, and wandering around in the middle of the night with wolf359. At Tech when with good friends I never felt like there was a void to be filled. There was always enough personality to go around, and I was happy just being there to observe.
