Adventures

Last night was an adventure, and today was an adventure. There is no end to the adventure!

Last night, driving up to southside Jacksonville (about 30 miles away from home), my right front tire blew out. We were 25 miles from home by that point, and stuck on the side of the road with no idea what to do. As we were calling a towing company, however, a guy in an Amigo pulled over and said that he worked at a garage up the street less than a mile away, and that he would help me change out the tire. His name was Tristan, and he was super cute and super nice. He changed the tire and took us back to his garage to put some air in it. For free! I think I would be in love if I wasn't already in love with my boyfriend. Then I took my car to Tire Kingdom, right down the road, and paid nearly 200 dollars to put new front tires on my car. Hayden and I went to the Schnitzelhouse (the German restaurant where we were going anyway), and had a wonderful real German dinner.

This morning, taking Hayden to work, we started to smell smoke. We pulled into the parking lot near his work and my car proceeded to catch on fire. I'm pretty sure that sucks. The fire department came and put out the fire, but the entire engine area of the car (hoses and wires and whatnot) is completely melted away, which means no more car for me. I got it towed back to the house and spent 150 dollars to do that. Now, I have little money, and my parents can't come up to see me until next week (meaning at least seven days from now), so I have no car. Luckily, I have a bike that will get me places, and I can hopefully get a ride to school on Tuesday, but biking to school on Wednesday is going to suck. I might be able to get Stacey to give me a ride, which I hope she'll be able to do, because otherwise I will have to bike to school and then bike home at nine o'clock at night, then work at four o'clock the next morning.

Speaking of which, I'll be biking to work at around 2:30 or 2:45 am in order to get there on time for this next week. Geez, this blows.
