Great TV Rising!

And, of course, before I even start this, let's all acknowledge that "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane is a fucking amazing song.
Okay, so I'm really excited about the new season of fall television that's coming up. For starters, in case anyone missed the outrageously welcome news, Dollhouse was renewed for a second season consisting of thirteen episodes. Although it will still have the same time slot that the first season did, this is good news in that it's indicative that FOX will keep Dollhouse around, based on the DVD sales and the next-day viewing and all of that.

The second season of Dollhouse is going to kick some major ass, officially. They've got all kinds of Battlestar Galactica stars coming on as guest stars, but that's not why I'm excited - Summer Glau is coming back to the Whedonverse! She'll be an inner worker in the Dollhouse that shares a secret past with Echo, so that'll be interesting. To add to the guest star excitement, Alexis Denisof (who excellently played Wesley on Angel) will have a multi-episode arc as a powerful senator who is leading a witch-hunt to kill the agency. There's even more intrigue and also some very large, very important story arcs coming up. I can't wait! Here's a look at the highly cool poster for season two:

Also on the agenda: BONES! So, it turns out that Booth actually doesn't have amnesia, which is good because that would have been way too soap-opera-esque for me. This season, they might even get Booth at least to admit his feelings for Brennan, so I'm practically squirming with excitement. They're jumping right back into the Bones that we all fell in love with after dropping the ball a little with the season finale. But still!

Coming up after Bones is Fringe - literally; they've paired Bones with Fringe this season which I think will work well for both of the shows and will give me a solid two hours of great television. I'm not so interested in House returning, but that's coming back too, in case anyone cares. In terms of summer television, all three of my shows (Leverage, Design Star, and, of course, True Blood) are hurtling toward their season finales, which is sad, but damn I can't wait for the True Blood finale! If you haven't been watching the second season, I feel bad for you.

Also, am I the only one that thinks "Glee" is worth looking into?

Anyway, just wanted to drop a line and wonder if I'm the only one squirming with anticipation for the upcoming fall season (assuming, of course, that I'm not the only one that still watches FOX).

bones, dollhouse, house, leverage, design star, glee, true blood
