I think I might have a problem with authority. Or maybe some people are just assholes.
So.. here's what happened: Our *real* boss, who has been back for 1 week now, got a wild hair up his ass Friday and had us doing some stupid project moving shelves and books around. Monday morning, I tried to finish my PMCS on a TPU and was ready to take it out on a road test when he tells me we aren't going to PMCS incoming eqpt anymore. Okay. So I park it. He asks me and John to finish the Friday project. Lunchtime comes, and this unit thats deploying shows up with a truckfull of shit and *2* people. John and I stop what we're doing to help unload. Now its time for inventory. Somehow *we* get stuck doing all the inventory because they didn't bring enough people to help. *Not* our job. But because our boss feels a need for us to be some kind of heroes, he insists we do it for them. Like the 2 people there weren't even helping. And then when a third showed up, they stood there and fucking WATCHED us do *their* shit. So anyway, we unfolded and folded back up all these fucking tent peices, and then we each got a box of something to inventory alone. I got a toolbox with a 26 pages of items on it to check. Its minutes from PT time, when the boss comes over. He says something to me, and as my watch now says 1530, I say "oh look! Its PT time!!"... and he responds, "Not today- when a unit is here, they are priority." WHAT THE FUCK?! There was NO WAY we were going to get it all done today anyhow, so whats the fuckign big deal? And if it was so pressing, why wasn't Paul and Kenny helping? And why the fuck does *he* get to do PT and not me?! Yeah, he spent his last hour of work outside walking for *his* PT! Oh man did I have a case of the ass after that.
There was no good reason why I couldn't have done PT today, end of story. And you know, I sure as fuck hope that I am not that shitty of an NCO in my unit that I treat *my* people like that. And I swear that if I ever do, I deserve a serious kick in the ass.
