I received some fantastic Christmas gifts this year, and I just wanted to share them all with you (most of them are pictures, so dial-up beware!)
First, from my Knitting Secret Pal, I received 5 skiens of yarn. 1 skein of GGH Marathon sock yarn, and 2 skeins of YarnArt Nope Lux worsted weight yarn. All are very lovely colors of green. The GGH Marathon is a subtle self-striping yarn, and the Nope Lux is a tweedy yarn. Also, 2 skeins of Sensations Whimsy in a fuschia pink. There was also a handful of Candy Cane Hershey Kisses, but those have disappeared into my hot chocolates.
From Chris, I received a gorgeous heart pendant necklace that's studded with 3 diamonds for St. Nickolaus' Day, and Grey's Anatomy Season 2 DVD for Christmas.
From my brother-in-law Jim, his wife Amy, and the kids Kailyn & Brenden, we got a chocolate fondue pot with Ghiradelli and Nestle's melting chocolates, and 2 tree ornaments that Kailyn made.
From Chris' mother, I got a yarn basket (to help Carmina-proof my yarn so we don't have the same incident again), some Frango truffles (not pictured cuz they're already eaten), and a diamond & pearl necklace that belonged to his grandmother.
From Chris' Uncle Jim & Aunt Amy, I got these gorgeous handpainted plates (there's 2 of each) and a Napier necklace and earring set.
From Chris' grandfather, we received a monetary gift.
From Chris' father, we received a Target gift card.
From my parents, I was gifted this beautiful 100% Cashmire yarn from Classic Elite Yarns (name of the yarn is
Indulge). There are 10 skeins total in a wonderful brown tweed. For the time being, this is for petting only!
This picture was taken wrong. I have since remembered that the Stitch-n-Bitch page-a-day calendar is from my parents, and the Ever After DVD is from my brother David and sister Rachel. (I finally have it!!!)
From David and Rachel, I also got these super comfy PJ's. There's a long sleeve shirt, a tank top, and pants.
From my brother Michael and his fiance Sarah, I got a Best Buy gift card and 2 pairs of gloves.
And from my grandparents, I got the traditional gifts. My grandmother started gifting me Silverware for my "dowry" when I turned 12. Now she adds on little things that may not come with my pattern but she believes I need, like these appetizer tongs. Every year, I also get an ornament. There was also a monetary gift and a savings bond.
I also received several small things from my co-workers, like a card from Melissa, a bag of candy from Marianne, and a Christmas Coke, some candy, and an appreciation Target gift card from Jason.
I did have a good Christmas even though I was ill. Unfortunately, because I was ill, I don't feel that I thanked everyone properly. I will be sending out Thank You cards this year. These are wonderful gifts and I hate to think I acted lackluster about them because I was concentrating on not doubling over in pain. Yes, everyone would understand, but I still don't think it was cool.
Hope you all had a good Christmas too!!
