My Christmas Week Knitting

Dec 28, 2008 17:51

My very lovely, very generous, and absolutely amazing friend Jenny sent me some leftover Lion Brand Cotton-Ease that she was trying to clear out before her recent move.  She sent me 3 skeins, and I thought, "This would be a terrific yarn to do something baby related out of!"  I started off in dire search of a suitable sweater: something simple and something that would leave me enough yarn to make a hat or booties out of.  I came across the Baby Folkwear Caftan, but decided that the embroidery just had to go.  It wasn't "manly" enough.  :-)

Here it is, not yet blocked:

I didn't use quite one whole skein with this sweater.  That leaves me more than enough to complete whatever else strikes my fancy.  I'm thinking a hat with bear ears, using this blue as the ear insides!!

I am so proud of my seams on this baby!  I really was able to take the time to calculate it all out on such a small sweater.
