Untitled Julie/LiLah (V/Angel) Fic

May 18, 2009 00:46

Pairing: Juliet Parrish and Lilah Morgan

Authors Note 1: I was going to make this into a huge fic, a crossover between V and Angelverse but I stopped. I have more J/L fic that I wrote while I was in buses in South America, but they are on my old blackjack phone and I can't find the charger. I might put it all together one day and make it more coherent, but for now, there's this, and well, I kinda really like it. A lot. :D
Authors Note 2: Separated into moments.
Authors Note 3: Let's ignore the fact that Julie was 1984 and Lilah was 2001, okay? Thank you.
Authors note 4: Lilah, Julie, Diana POV's

Disclaimer: Kenneth Johnson, Warner Brothers, Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, Fox, they own, I do not.

1. Deception
Lilah likes to believe that she's better at this game than Diana. She likes to believe that she'll get what she wants without having to give up anything she doesn't want. Lilah is good at her job, which is why nobody is above her at the firm. She, however, has to give Diana credit. The woman -lizard- is a cold calculating monster the likes of which Lilah has never seen, and that's saying a lot, because Lilah? She's seen a lot. Lilah believed herself to be soulless, but she has a feeling that Diana never cared about anything in her life but her own advancement.
When Diana suggest- with a voice Lilah believes is supposed to be seductive and convincing- that Lilah help her systematically destroy the resistance from the inside, Lilah smiles. It's what the senior partners wanted all along.

2. Lies
She stood by the door staring down at the sleeping blonde. Another victim of Wolfram & Hart. Another innocent destroyed for the big pay off. She didn't feel bad about it, but a part of her did feel tired. She wanted to be done with being used, but she knew she would never be above the senior partners. She had reached the highest position she could. She had the world at her feet and she could do anything she wanted with no consequences, and yet here she was, playing whore for her bosses.

She walked away from the bedroom, needing to be away from such innocence. She wasn't meant to be near it, to touch it, to feel it. She was meant to destroy it, to maim it and make it untouchable to others, but at that moment she just wanted to fall into a dreamless sleep, where choices were still hers to make. She wanted to turn back and walk away from 'the offer of a lifetime'.

Lilah was cold. Lilah was evil. Lilah was not a murderer, but at that moment she wished her assignment had been to put a bullet in Julie's head, instead of seducing her.

3. Death
Lilah thought if she was going to get caught by anyone (though, honestly, she didn't think she would get caught until she was ready) it would be Diana. She thought there would be torture, some maiming, anything but a clean shot to the head by the woman she had seduced into falling inlove with her.

4. Questions
Lilah is a manipulator. It's what she does, what she's good at, who she is. So when Julie holds a gun to her head, Lilah is quite disappointed with herself. She has to know what she did wrong, and a gun to her head isn't going to stop her from asking.

Julie stares at her, cold hatred in her eyes, and Lilah wishes she felt even a twinge of guilt for ruining this girl, for taking whatever innocence she had left and tainting it, but she doesn't, and that further drives home the whole 'selling-your-soul-for-power' thing she has going on. Lilah mentally shrugs, wondering if she broke Julie enough to drive her to kill another human.

Julie seethes Diana's name and Lilah has a moment to realize how thoroughly she did break her before Julie shoots.

5. Hatred
She stares at Lilah's body, her blood crowning around her head, extending, her life gone, the evidence on the ground like trash. Boots mare the blood, imprinting themselves. Julie looks up to the face of a sociopath and raises her gun again.

Diana smiles.

Julie shoots.

Two bodies lay at her feet. Red and green blood mixing together.

Julie faintly hears somebody say 'take her' before she loses consciousness.

/She's running, trapped in a building by herself, trying to escape the evil that's chasing her. She can't run. She can't see where she's going. She can't hide.

Lilah appears in front of her, asking for forgiveness, promising to be good. Julie walks as fast as she can past her, slamming right into Diana. Face half human, half lizard, the torturer flicks her long tongue out at Julie, laughing maniacally.

Julie doesn't want to stop moving, doesn't want to look, doesn't want to see, but there they both are, staring at her, twin smiles on their faces, though Lilah's seems to change from pleading to evil in rapid succession.

Julie can't decide who she hates more./

6. Victory
Diana watches Julie struggle, knowing it will be a challenge, but that soon enough she will break her and the resistance will get hit with its final blow.
