Haha, last night was awesome. I had the "panties vs. underwear" arguement with my dad. It was hilarious, i was helping him pick out a present for my 17 year old cousin, and some how he said something about panties, and i started laughing, and was like, mom, have you ever noticed that guys always call underwear panties, and no girl in her right mind has EVER called them panties. and this started a whole debate about which is right, and blahblahblah, and then my mom, trying to be miss intelligent, started bringing up all old school yard sayings, like "i see london i see france, i see katies underpants" and my mom was like, why isnt it i see katies panties, and my dad yells, BECAUSE PANTIES DOESNT RHYME WITH FRANCE! it was so funny, and then my sister comes home, and she is all dressed up because she has been out to dinner with her girlfriends, and when she walks in my dad is like SHHH SHHH katie, marybeth, dont say anything, and he looks all seriously at my sister and is like, rosie, under your skirt (and of course my sister is all like, what the hell is going on) what do you call those things that you cover the lower part of your body? and she is BEYOND confused, and after a few seconds, meekly says, underwear? and my mom and i are like THANK YOU! and shes like what?! and im like, rosie, have you ever, in your right mind, ever used the term panties? and shes like no! thats silly! and my dad is like, forget you guys. then the best was my bro came home, and my dad tries to ask him the same thing, and hes like, what do girls wear under their pants, and he answers UNDERWEAR!! so basically, my dad lost terribly. it was awesome. and lets not forget that hes going around to his children asking them about girls underwear. it was so funny. and as im talking to my mom about this, she tells me that this isnt the first time they have had this arguement about it, because apparently any time my mom says anything about her underwear, my dad corrects her and tells her that they are panties.

some of you will get the awesomeness of this, because we have had this arguement a few times before with some of our guy friends. anyway, girls win. THEY ARE UNDERWEAR!!!
