i think i'm going to have made $1,500 for this month once i get my paycheck on the 31st. that's the most money i've ever made in a month! i keep my own hours since i'm not totally full-time, and was counting over them and realized i'll have like 91 hours from this last 2 week pay period. that's A LOT of work for me. plus 5 days a week of school too. anyway, it's nice to finally be able to be saving money instead of spending it on rent/utilities as soon as i get it. this has been the first month in a long time that i've had a balance of over like $100 in my bank account after i pay rent :)
i'm hoping i can save up enough to go on a small vacation this summer (maybe i already wrote about this). i have a feeling that planning will get kind of last-minute, so i'm thinking iceland or ireland are out. i watched house hunters international (which i usually don't like) and the family got a house on the island of roatan(sp?) off the coast of honduras. it'd be realllllly nice to go to the caribbean or mexico.
classes are still going well -- i can't believe it's almost midterms already. that week off was nice. consumer behavior at 8:30am for 4 hours is boring, but survivable. we hardly have any outside homework, so that's really nice. i like our german teacher a lot this term. he's got a lot of energy and i like that he'll speak english sometimes. i got another german penpal, who i think will keep writing to me this time. flash is fun to play around with. i'm glad to finally be learning how to use it. so far, we've mastered stop and play functions and learned about text. i made an animation of a dinosaur walking across my br'er rabbit scene that you can stop and play. NSAC is getting better. i'm still pissed about getting a b, but think he'll give me an a this term. i've stepped my aggressiveness up a lot in that class (he gave me a b because i'm not an aggressive person....) and stand my ground when i think something shouldn't be done. i've been working on the ads, which are coming along. i spent the weekend going through Coke's current website (and 4320432 sub-sites) and writing out 5 pages of modification/re-doing suggestions (size 11, .9" margins, single spaced and i still had probably 5 more pages I could have written on!). Coke has a terrible website for being a huge as they are. i wrote the bulk of my report *just* on their navigation...i didn't even hit at other confusing things they do. if anyone has read this far into this entry and would like to go to www.coca-cola.com and tell me what you like/dislike about the site (not the choose-your-region splash page, but the actual site it takes you to), that'd be helpful!
i've got an Ad2 meeting to go to tonight. I've been so busy with school and night classes that i haven't been able to be involved in that campaign competition as much as i'd like to. i'm gonna go to a half hour of my class tonight and then head out to the meeting, then head back to school probably once i'm done to work on the NSAC campaign ads with heather and jade. THEN, i'll head home around 9:30/10 and actually get home around 10:45. blehhhhhhhhh. long day.
We just got the proof in of the promotional book I made for the Ultimate Open House home show this spring. i think it's going to look really cool once it's printed on the final paper. i should get back to work now...or at least doing something that looks more like work.
this is SUPER nerdy but i just realized that this typeface in here does automatic ligatures. cooool. or maybe it doesn't but it just looks like it does. either way, cool.
edit: just as an update, i did get a grill (fake platinum with tons of fake diamonds), and nintendo is going to fix my wii remote for frii. i should be back in wii-playing buisiness in 2 weeks.
