She relied on him completely to help her navigate the traitorous world of politics in this new place, one so different from her childhood home in Austria.
She knew he always had her back. Even at boring social events.
He was very protective of her and was never far from her side, should she need him. (Can you see him lurking through the bushes checking in on her while she chills with friends?)
As she grew up, her mentor began to mean more to her than anyone else. She found herself slowly falling in love with him. She played quite the coquette but eventually won him over despite his protests.
Her subtle seduction of Mycroft involved lots of fans and nudity.
And bathtubs.

Over the years, they had their occasional fights over dinner, whether it was about the best way to do away with Louis or feed the poor, but they always worked it out before bedtime.
