my mother was thinking she had shingles on saturday, the symptoms slowly started about 2 weeks ago and a rash started thuesday, she had a doctors appointment for this coming tuesday, but after some research on my part and finding out that if you catch it early enough and get on anti viral medication the lenth and saverity of it could be reduced greatly, i convinced her to go to the emergency room in town.
turns out it was shingles so she is now on pain and anti viral medication and she is happy that she went.
for those that do not know, shingles is basicly chicken pox that comes back, but when it comes back it comes back with a vengence, there is a lot of pain involved and blisters and eritation and it can last months to over a year in some cases...
