going to a progressive dinner today, scottish tradition called "first footing", i am not planning to do the whole thing but i may change my mind. it will be a time to reconnect with some people i have not seen or talked to in a long time. it should be fun. it starts at noon with the airing of the tartens then off to appetizers. we will then go to the next house and have soup...

as for the new years feastivities, i will update later, must get ready and find my kilt!
