Free as in beer
It's crazy what people will do for free stuff. Yesterday there was a line around the block at the local Krispy Kreme, which is usually dead. Krispy Kreme was giving every customer a free donut, no questions asked, in celebration of National Donut Day. I waited in line for a little while but left when I realized I would be waiting for half an hour to get one free donut, basically a dollar and change. It just wasn't worth it. But for everyone who stayed in line (and the 6-7 odd who had already lined up after me) this was the thing to do on their Friday night. Weird.
