Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods
I went to see this limited run courtesy of Fathom Events. I'm glad they branched out to do both theater and geeky anime. This film was awesome, if you like DBZ, you'll love this. It had everything that makes DBZ great, power up sequences, the sense of adventure, and goofy humor. Highly recommended. My first DBZ movie, and a nice intro for me to the series (I'm only a casual fan).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Really, I don't understand where the hate is coming from. 19% on Rotten Tomatoes, really? Michael Bay isn't even the director, he's one of the producers. I actually liked TMNT. I was consistently entertained, and I say this while admitting I hated Transformers 4 from start to finish. TMNT, on the other hand, is a pretty good action movie, with /great/ pacing and a satisfying arc. It's still an action movie, though, so it won't change your life, but it will entertain it for a little while.
