VOODOO
ok, i just read the initial lineup for the next voodoo fest, and i must say, i'm really really excited. i only really have one thing to say: THE NEW YORK MOTHERFUCKING DOLLS!!! and the flaming lips, and queens of the stoneage, and this really awesome horn band that plays WAR PIGS as a horn piece. and billy idol. and nine inch nails. and cake. and my chemical romance. and ryan adams. and lcd sound system. and dan the automator of 1st gorillaz album fame. and in the "i dont like them but they're very famous right now" category: the secret machines, the bravery, the decemberists, louis XIV, brazilian girls, death from above 1979. oh yeah, and seth, joss stone is there. and heres a little 03 voodoo fest inside joke, WORLD LEADER PRETEND is gonna be there...maybe they'll be another confrontaion with their street team, who knows? and the one thing that isnt even definite but still rules all: theres a big gaping hole in the stripes touring schedule in october right now. couple that with reports that they're DEFINITELy coming to N.O...and there you have it. probably the most awesome voodoo fest yet. well, i know i'm definitely going now.
